Real Madrid signs a 9-year-old Japanese wonderkid

Aware that talent does not wait around, top teams are now signing players younger than ever before…

Japanese Wunderkind

Is this the new star of world football? Takuhiro Nakai is only 9 years old and has already been recruited by Real Madrid.

A team well accustomed to spending astronomical sums on some of the most expensive players on the planet, Real Madrid has recently been paying a lot of attention to a Japanese wonder boy. His name: Takuhiro Nakai . His nickname: Pipi . His age: 9 years old.

Previously a player for Shiga Prefecture (Japan), Nakai was officially signed by “The Merengues” on September 28th 2013. Although only nine years old, the Japanese prodigy is already a star in his own country thanks to a Japanese television programme which revealed his footballing talents when he was just seven.

Of course it is not possible to know if Takuhiro Nakai will one day win the FIFA Ballon d’Or (often referred to as the European Footballer of the Year award) or even if he will ever become a professional footballer. We must say, however, that right now the youngster seems to have all it takes to become a football phenomenon: vivacity, speed of execution and a very impressive mastery of technique!

So is Takuhiro Nakai the next Ronaldo? Only time will tell…
